Big Update

So I guess, at some point, some of you might want me to actually update with something substantial, huh?

Well… now’s as good a time as any, I reckon.

Alright… well… what was the last thing I wrote of any personal consequence? Oh, that’s right… it was back on Thursday when I was unmotivated. I really, really appreciate all of the great blog suggestions. I’ve written them down, and you can bet you’ll see them in the future. Honest. (Well, most of them)

So what’s up? Well… this past Friday night I saw hitch with ND and Tiffany… good times. Funny movie, really… I was impressed. I expected it to be assy. I came home, went to bed, and got up bright and early on Saturday morning for my first tourney of this season with the ‘Bama Ultimate squad. Basic run-down: I played decently… we went 3-1, winning the 8-team tournament. Even better, we beat Auburn for the first time in 7 years. Roll Tide.

I had a full-body soreness going on Sunday, which included my face on account of a little bit of sun I got Saturday. I was concerned about how I’d feel on Monday, but I stayed up late doing some work anyway. I woke up with my alarm at 7:00… and felt great. No soreness, not tired, nothing… and it was MONDAY. WTF, mate? I went back to bed for a while anyway, but was actually 5 minutes early to work. I moved into a new office on Friday, which is great… and so I spent most of yesterday cleaning it and organizing it. Oh, and throwing away mountains of crap that’s accumulated over the years.

Today? Well, I was TEN minutes early to work. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I kinda like it. I ordered a half-dozen-ish computers, did normal worky stuff, and then skipped class. Yay me. Work to do tonight, though. The rest of the week looks pretty standard. CK tomorrow, Ultimate Thursday, and we have a Tourney in B’ham this weekend. Lots of work to do in the mean time, though.

Also, I began the slow and painful transformation from Thunderbird back to Microsoft Outlook. I still like Thunderbird, but it’s just not meeting my needs in terms of calendaring, multiple accounts, etc… I’ve also started uploading my 12,000 emails from my local computer to the server so that when I finally get a laptop I’ll have access to all of my emails on both of my computers.

I finished up my FAFSA this weekend, too… and next year the Federal Government expects me to contribute a whopping $675 to my legal education… which is pretty nice, considering that tuition alone will be $25,000. Please note, however, that most of that will be loans. Yay. Luckily, I’ll have Kecia in town to mooch off of.
