Time to talk about what annoys pete. Well, one of the things, anyway. People should not expect your high-fives or congratulations for some shit they’re just SUPPOSED to do. Chris Rock definitely said it best:

But, see, lots of people do this. If you’re normally a neurotic nutbag and one day you’re not, don’t look at me like I ought to jump up and down and do a cheer for you. If you normally sneak into the sorority house on Friday nights and sniff dirty panties, don’t expect me to throw you a fucking ticker-tape parade just because you spent last Friday at home instead.
This usually manifests itself, at least in my life, when I suggest that someone should’ve done X, some people always say “You should be happy that I didn’t do Y!”
Oh, should I? Is there other stupid shit you DIDN’T do that you’d like a reward for? Maybe I should bake you a cake?
It’s really frequent/common when the person in question is trying to change a certain behavior because of you, for you, at your request/demand… they seem to want a flashing neon sign celebrating their progress. Whoopty-fucking-doo.
I’m all about self-improvement but just DO IT ferfuckssake, don’t expect everyone you know to fawn all over you because you MAIMED someone in your most recent car wreck instead of killing them.
…so that’s my rant for the day… I’ve been trying to bitch less, lately… isn’t that great?
