The sisters were in town this past weekend, which was great. On account of the new job, I wasn’t able to spend Friday hanging out, but we got lots of quality time in on Saturday and Sunday before they left. Reese is adorable, of course (would you expect any less out of a Holiday?).
We went to the Georgia Aquarium, which was a test for her — several hours of wandering around without a nap or really much food to speak of. Toward the end she started getting a little cranky, but if you gave her anything to look at she calmed right down. It was really neat to see her marvel at things, although I’m sure she didn’t appreciate everything as much as she will in a few years, but all in all, it was fun — disgusting weather notwithstanding.
Reese and Scout got along wonderfully, too, which was good to see.
Today started off slowly. I didn’t get nearly as much done as I wanted to after work, I was pestered by a nagging headache all day, and I really lacked the motivation to do anything. The rain didn’t help at all. I’m hoping that tomorrow will be a little better. Still haven’t decided what, if anything, I’m going to do to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, but if tomorrow is a repeat of today, it’ll probably be a whole lot of nothing.
I spent a little time looking at the NCAA Tourney Bracket today. I have no idea what the hell I’m going to do with it. Too many teams I know nothing about on account of not following the sport at all (on account of both of my alma maters being terrible this year). I guess that just means this will be the year I win, right?
I’m looking forward to breaking out of this early-week funk — hopefully tomorrow.
