Today’s gold star is actually not here on PeteHoliday.com but over at Roll Bama Roll where I wrote 1,700 words on the latest NCAA infractions nonsense. I will say that the authors at RBR have this infractions case locked down . . . pretty much every detail, from every conceivable angle is covered at length.
The bottom line is this: some athletes got some extra textbooks that they had to either return or pay for. That’s what the NCAA’s collective panties are all in a bunch about.
More interesting, today, is that FSU had a bunch of wins vacated for an academic fraud case.
I’m sure the fact that the chair of the Committee on Infractions is Miami’s Athletic Director had no impact on FSU’s penalties at all. Right?
It might be time to revisit the 10 dirtiest programs of the modern era.
