So tomorrow I have an interview. It’s my second with this particular company. The first one was with the guy who will be my manager if I go to work there. Tomorrow’s interview is with him and the CEO. This specific company is a web hosting company, but my job would be software development rather than standard hosting support type stuff.
Overall, I like what I’ve found out about the company. Their benefits package is not quite what I had at the old company, and I don’t think I’ll be able to get as nice a salary (at least initially) but given the current IT job climate, it’s probably wise to adjust expectations.
One of the things that I heard (and liked) was that they pretty much don’t care when you come and go as long as a) you get your work done, b) you hit your deadlines, and c) you put in enough hours every week. Basically, really flex-y flex-time. This is enhanced by the fact that I’d be working mostly solo on my own stuff almost all the time.
Even better: the job pretty much nails my area of expertise when it comes to software development, which would be a nice change from the old company, which basically went out of its way to put me in my weakest area.

Good luck with the interview!
Good luck! Sounds like a pretty good prospect.
So, how did it go?
