As you may have noticed, PeteHoliday.com remains the URL of the blog, but is no longer the title. Most commenters seemed to be in agreement that The Devil Went Down to Georgia was a befitting title and I’m not one to argue.
This weekend Hilary came to town to visit. It was my first chance to play host in Atlanta and it was a lot of fun. We managed to find tickets to the opening weekend of Wicked (a show I saw not terribly long ago with Mandy in Chicago). Different cast, but every bit as good. I tended to like Chicago’s Glinda and Elphaba better, but the rest of the cast was as good or better here in the ATL. We did some other stuff, too.
We checked out the Aquarium (largest one in the world, you know) and that was good. Made me really crave sushi, which I don’t think is the desired effect.
Brunch on Sunday was really incredible — I had never been to Einstein’s before (different from Einstein Bro’s Bagel Co) but I will be craving their brunch for quite some time.
Scout got lots and lots of attention, which is his favorite thing.
So far this week — for the first time since I arrived — I have no plans. No obligations. Nothing especially pressing on my To-Do list. Just five evenings of… whatever the hell I want. Granted, a healthy portion of that will be poured into side projects that I have been neglecting for the last week or so, but that’s beside the point.
Primary take-away: calendar = empty. At least until the weekend.
Also, I have officially started prepping for the Bar. Multi-state only at this point, and not at any terribly frenetic pace, but it has begun. I’ve also pledged not to complain about bar study… we’ll see how long I can keep that up.
Happy Monday?

Great new title. I’m a big fan.
Cool! I thought Wicked was fantastic, and that’s awesome that you got to see it again. I hope you’re enjoying your empty calendar time.
