Today is the marks two great occasions. First and foremost, the anniversary of Charlsie’s birth, so happy birthday to her. You should all buy her presents.
Second, as of today, I have been an Atlantan for one full month. I’ve lived a lot of places, and I have to say that this is (at least so far) easily my favorite among them. There’s so much to do here, so much great food, fun places to explore. It’s really a fantastic city. I’m liking my job, my commute is easy, and I’ve met a lot of great people.
It’s also nice to be back in the South again, where grits come standard with brunch and sweet tea is available everywhere.
I finally have my furniture (most of it, anyway — still missing the legs for my dining room table) and Scout and I are getting settled. I finally think I’m getting to the point where I can start joining organizations and making plans on a longer time-line. This also means that I’ll hopefully be posting more, dragging the camera around to more places, and generally being more visible.

That was a poor segue into a very important point: I’m bored with the “name” of the blog. There’s something very 2005 about “PeteHoliday.com”, so I feel like that needs to go. Your clever ideas are requested. There’s already been one vote for ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’, which is a bit long, but tolerable. Titles which highlight how amazing I am, my world-renowned modesty, or (preferably) both will receive special consideration.

Also long but:
“In which I am Awesome and Atlantean…but I repeat myself.”
“In which I am Awesome and Georgian…but I repeat myself.”
I’m not sure which is better, I like the alliteration of the first but the second somehow sounds better.
But really a third for “Devil”
