A few weeks ago I got a letter in the mail from Alabama’s College of Arts & Sciences. They wanted me to donate to their scholarship fund. I was a little irritated, and I wasn’t sure quite why.
A few minutes later it dawned on me why I’m irritated. I still owe Alabama $8,000 in student loans, to say nothing of student loan debt I have from undergrad that I owe to various other organizations and institutions. Despite all that, they want me to donate money so other people can go to school for cheaper?
Yeah, right.
Call me when my student loan debt is paid off.
