No, I didn’t get a ticket. Rather, my boss seems to have gotten a little frustrated with his efforts to get me into a courtroom. Tomorrow, Judge and opposing parties willing, I will try my first (and second) cases. Both standard, run-of-the-mill traffic court cases. It should be fun. Hopefully my record will improve to 3-0 by the time it’s all said and done.
I cannot imagine what sort of mistake I’d have to make to lose one of these cases. I scarcely think it’s possible.
More tomorrow, although probably not much more. It’s just traffic court, after all.
Update: Both guilty. I even got one defendant to admit that he was speeding. He admitted to less than he was cited for, and it seemed to surprise him that this actually did not help him at all. (No, I’m not posting from work. I had to run home to grab some stuff I forgot this morning.)
