I’m not a huge Christmas person. I like it, don’t get me wrong, and giving/getting gifts is fun, but I don’t live all year for Christmas. It’s sort of odd, though, because I’ve always gotten really great gifts. My parents were always good at this whole Christmas thing. This year I got a lot of neat gifts, and I don’t mean to discount any of them… but I have to share: Amanda’s parents got me deep fryer for Christmas.
To the average person this might seem like an odd gift. For me, however, this is awesome. I restrained my excitement to use it until today. And I took pictures.
They didn’t just stop with the deep fryer, either. They also sent me home with a big tub of oil and some food to fry. Mmmm… delicious.

A deep fryer is not an odd present, and i got steaks and steak sauce to go with my grill pan. I was very excited.

Sounds like an excellent gift! Reminds me of eating tonnes of beer battered fish at fishing derbys as a child… of course the adults were partaking in the beer battered fish with lots of beer to drink as well
