Is it wrong that every time Rock You Like a Hurricane comes on my iTunes, I think how inappropriate it would have been if the bands of SEC teams had learned how to play it and done so when they played LSU? Because I do. Every time.
Sometimes I also think about other things.
Like the fact that I’m going to Baton Rouge this weekend. For ultimate. Yes, again.
That’s going to be great, especially in light of the fact that my vehicle is in the shop. Not sure for how long, but I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.
The tournament, though, is going to be awesome. I get to play on the B-Squad… which is actually a good thing. We’re taking a A-Squad and a B-Squad. Playing on the B-Squad means a few things… but mostly it means more playing time, which I really need. It also helps because most of the B-Squad are younger guys and since I have more eligibillity left than most of the experienced players on the team, it’ll be good for me to start building up some chemistry with those guys. Anyway, it’s going to rock. The A-Squad got put in the power pools for Saturday, so they’ve got some work to do. The B-Squad can move into the power bracket for sunday by winning our pool and then winning a play-in. But really this tourney is just experience for the B-Squad guys. It’s going to be fun.
We got our trial-level briefs back today. I’d have done exceptionally well if I had started a little earlier and kept focus through the end… I started to wander and ramble a bit toward the end. Even still, my partner and I did pretty well. I’m satisfied with the result, hopefully there’ll be some improvement in the appellate-level brief. Once that brief is done we get to do an oral argument in support. This is something I’m really looking forward to.
In somewhat major news: I finally decided (officially) to pursue the USMC JAG Corps. It’s not quite as cushy as I had originally thought, but it’s still my best option going forward. And while that means, if I get selected, that I’ll spend my first law school summer getting my ass kicked all over Quantico, there might be some folks who think that’s just what I need. Of course, those folks will probably not be thrilled to hear that I’ll come back from OCS with a commission and even more confidence than I’ve got now. Heh.
…and now: the unceremonious ending of this post. Bye.

Okay, so the “Rock You Like A Hurricane” thing is just evil. I love it. Oh, and the picture of the luminaries on campus popped up on your site and made me wanna cry. Dang you.

Quantico… wow… a place I only read about and will certainly never actually be. That will be well worth reading about.
Good luck with your coming briefs (um.. yeah) and in the JAG process. I hope its all that you want it to be.

Congrats on the JAG corp. Can we call you a Jagoff yet?

The Tampa Bay Bucs caught a bunch of heat for because they did play Rock You Like A Hurricane during a game against the Saints.
