After yesterday’s link round-up, the post by the SLU 2L mysteriously disappeared (cue dramatic music) and then she mysteriously appeared and posted a comment that I feel the need to respond to. So I’m responding. Her quotes are bold and italic
If you had read my post more carefully, or considered it in the context of past posts, you would know that having to register with pen and paper wasn’t the reason I was advising people not to attend SLU.
I didn’t realize that having a working knowledge of all of your past posts was a requirement for reading your blog. Further, it was a reason you were advising people not to attend, but just potentially not the only one. You did neglect to mention, oh, anything else in specific.
It wasn’t even the reason I wrote that entry.
That’s funny… you allegedly wrote the entry for some other reason, and then neglect to so much as mention it in the entry itself. I cannot begin tell you how much sense this makes.
It was the fact that our school seems unable to efficiently handle any aspect of our educations.
Any aspect? Any at all? That seems like a fairly ridiculous claim. Surely they do something with at least relative efficiency. You are enrolled, aren’t you? Or are you exaggerating for effect here on account of insufficiency of supporting facts?
As for the most recent failure of promised improvements, I described it as “the tipping point” that made me suggest people not attend SLU. See also, “the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
How clever, citing fables and idioms. Now, just a few sentences ago you said that it wasn’t reason, but now it is the reason. So which is it? Was the paper based registration a reason or not?
And honestly, if you are in law school you must be at least 22 years old.
Really poor assumption, actually. I have two classmates who didn’t turn 21 until this semester. I, personally, am 24, so you end up being correct, luckily.
Aren’t we all past the name calling stage?
Who knows, I figured thought we’d be past the “trite” and “whiny” stages, too… but apparently none of those things are the case. But, hey, if the shoe fits…
Finally, also for the record, I did not remove the post in question nor any other from my blog.
Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
I was notified this morning - by some of my many classmates who agree with me - that all the content had been removed from my site.
I find it amusing that you feel the need to interject that other people agree with you… as though it would be hard to find students agreeing that the administration is incompetent two weeks before finals… and as though having people who agree with you makes your opinion any less ridiculous. I’m sure there are some who probably disagree as well, does that make you wrong?
The password has also been changed, so I am unable to write to explain the situation.
Blogger has this great new feature called “I forgot my password” where if you forget your password (I assume it will also work if “someone” deleted you contentious posts and “changed your password”) you can go to this page, put in your user name, and — you’ll never guess — they will email you your password. Isn’t that amazing? I love technology.
One might also comment on the sheer odds of some random person stealing your password and then logging in to delete your blog, but having only minored in math I really have no way of saying how likely that is. I’m sure it’s pretty common.

You are one sarcastic man, Pete. I love that!
(Oh, and you know that oral sex causing cancer thing was just for men who gave to women, right? Ok, cool. Late!)

Wow, thanks for putting certain people (whiny SLU 2L’s) in their place! I appreciate it.

Do you even do to SLU Law? If not, stay out of it…it doesn’t concern you. When you are older, you will understand.

Awww… isn’t that cute? Someone from St. Louis came to my blog to tell me to stay out of something because it’s not my business… then again, I’m not sure what makes him/her think this blog is any of his/her business. Aren’t hypocrites cute? Especially when they try to be condescending!

Hahaha. I can almost see the smirk, Pete.

My mother taught me that name calling is inappropriate. It is sometimes necessary though. Mr. Holiday, you are a jerk. At 24, you should have learned some tact by now.

A funny, often spot-on jerk. Why be tactful towards whiners?
November 20th, 2005 at 2:39 pm
I don’t particularly mind being called a jerk, because I don’t predicate my self-worth on the opinions of random other people, Ms. Molina.
I am glad, however, that you thought so much of me and my post that you felt the need to reply to it.

wow if there wasn’t a by-line on that last one I would swear that was said by Bill O’Reilly.

Only slightly on-topic:
“Me think she doth protest too much”–one of my favorite quotes
