My fall break plans are set… I’m getting to see Hilary (and she gets to see way more of me than is healthy) and then I’m going down to watch ‘Bama beat up on Tennessee (ROLL TIDE).

I’m not even sure I can tell you how excited I am. Seriously. My iterary goes something like this:

  • Leave Friday for an ultimate frisbee tournament in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Return Sunday, early afternoon. Possibly crash at Bimby’s in Indy because…
  • My flight leaves at 6:10 monday morning non-stop to DC (Technically Baltimore, but who’s counting?)
  • At some point between Monday morning and thursday afternoon I will be job shadowing with a US Army JAG
  • Friday morning I fly out of BWI to Birmingham… where I’ll rent a car and drive to Tuscaloosa
  • Saturday I’m going to be decked out in Crimson, shaker in hand, ready to sing “Yea Alabama” and the Rammer Jammer… ready to drink bourbon… ready to watch the Tide beat the hell out of the Vols. Then I’m going to party like a rockstar to celebrate.
  • Sunday morning I will remove myself from whatever gutter, couch, or random harlot’s bed I’ve found myself in, and bum around until the early afternoon when I return to Birmingham.
  • At that point I will try to get onto the 4:40 flight to Baltimore but, failing that, my ticket says I can get on the 8:00… one more night in the greater DC Metro area and then monday morning I hop on a plane to get back to the Land o’ Corn.

…so why am I flying back to DC before Indy? Because, for some paris-unknown reason, Southwest does not fly between B’ham and Indy… and getting flights at times between B’ham and Baltimore such that I can make it back in one day was going to be cost prohibitive.

So pretty much that means I’m going to be flying all over the eastern half of the country to a) Hang out in DC, b) Job Shadow, and c) Watch ALABAMA FOOTBALL

I love my life… now if this week would just hurry up and end, I’d be in good shape.

PS: I’ll be in Tuscaloosa for two exciting nights! Reserve your Pete now! Limit one drunken make-out per-person1, no purchase necessary, while supplies last.

That’s Southwest for ya… but heck, they’re the best I’ve flown with, and not too expensive.

Oh, and we’re #6 in AP!!! Props to UGA for showing Tennessee that they’re not invincible this season… again… for the like 4th time. (And they’re still in the top 20).
