Here at IU School of Law “Labor Day” apparently means “The day on which you are expected to labor most furiously.” In the same week that our first writing assignment is due, my torts class got an email from the prof instructing us to read through a particular point on the syllabus by tomorrow…

…and that point just happens to be equally far away from where we are now as the beginning of the syllabus is. Which is just a convoluted way to say that he’s expecting us, in one night, to read as much as we’ve had to read in the first nine days of class.

This was a definition of the holiday of which I was previously unaware.

    So true, I worked a 14 hour day. :o/
