So I’ve seen several movies this weekend… I was hoping to force Kim to watch The Life of Brian but nobody in town had it. Can you freakin’ believe that? So we watched The Jacket instead. This movie achieved a level of weirdness heretofore unknown to me (at least in a movie) and I’m still not entirely convinced that I know what happened in the movie or why. When the movie was over I had the same sort of feeling as one might if one was knocked over by a large purple ostritch, being ridden by a three-armed midget, which had quickly swooped down out of the clouds and then disappeared in a puff of smoke. But I think I may be underestimating the WTF factor of the movie. Anyway. I think you get my point.

Also watched The Ring — this movie was pretty scary as movies go, but most movies don’t stick with me like that… they’re a bit scary as they’re going on, but once they’re over, they’re over. I did like the movie though. It was good. While we were watching the movie some of Kim’s friends came by and scared the crap out of us her by banging on the door. They hung out for a while and were cool.

Today went over to Laura’s for lunch… good stuff. Then I made her run. We drove back to my house and ran to her house from here (about 2.5 miles)… I ran back. I walked for a really brief period… probably less than a quarter mile, so I easily ran 4.5 miles today. Little disappointed that I didn’t make it all 5 w/o stopping, but I’m totally going to blame it on being up too late and the overzealous pace of the first half of the run. The weather might’ve had something to do with it, too. Definitely wasn’t me wussing out though. Nope. No way.

This afternoon I’m going to get some work done. Maybe. We’ll see. No, I really need to.

…and also, if I can’t get that stupid Gwen Stefani song out of my head[#] I’m going to kill someone.

You were scared by The Ring and you know it! Also, there’s this ostrich at my door…don’t know what THAT’S all about…

  2. Pete says:

Yes, but is it a purple ostritch?

  3. Amy says:

As far as killing someone goes… are you taking requests?

  4. TSC Girl says:

As far as the purple ostrich scenario, reminds me of 3 other movies: Momento, The Good Girl and Donnie Darko.

  5. Laura says:

My “overzealous pace” had nothing to do with it, you didn’t let me keep my pace anyway.

Amy: I’ve got a long list of my own. I’ll let you know when I run out.
