So I guess life on the internet still goes on even without me, so I should probably post… you know, to keep up.
I’ve been working feverishly lately trying to finish up some projects. I really need them to go away. And then I need the money from them to do the opposite of going away. But anyway… Thursday and Friday were working days (or they were supposed to be). Thursday I actually got stuff done. Friday I failed at that and ate dinner and watched a movie instead. Oops.
Saturday morning Laura and I went running. I picked out the route and told her it was less than 4.5 miles because I had added “a few” hills to it. The original route, as I planned it, was actually more like 5.5 miles and had four huge hills. Mid-run I cut out half a mile (she didn’t know the route) because I didn’t think we’d make it. I was right. We ended up stopping about 4 miles in walked a few blocks, then ran some more, and we cut it short… so it ended up being about 4.5 miles of running, half a mile of walking. Not cool. After that we had breakfast at the waffle house and I came back and worked pretty hard until the early evening when we (Kim, Les, JWest, Chase, and Cory) went to see Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. It was a pretty good movie, though I think I’d have enjoyed it more if I were under the influence while watching.
Today Laura and I decided to try to the shortened (5 mile, 4 hill) route again… she wanted to stop, but I didn’t let her. That was sort of mean of me, and I suppose if she had passed out I would’ve felt a tinge of guilt deep inside where my heart is supposed to be… but that didn’t happen, so crisis was averted. Then I helped Nicole move out of her Apt and then I headed to Birmingham to have lunch with the Morris family (and those who married in). I’m going to miss those folks.
Tonight I have to work, work, work. Tomorrow I’m going to shorten my route a little bit because my foot was bothering me today… and I need to get back to running for speed as well as distance. Anyway… all of this is boring and I really need to eat something.
Hopefully I’ll be back to my normal posting self some time this week when work slows down a bit.

I’m going to buy you a bike. This running stuff is *highly* overrated.

It wasn’t too mean, I shouldn’t have stopped since we only had a mile left. I hope you would have felt bad if I had passed out though.

If I ran 4 miles…oh wait…I would have died of a massive heart attack after 3, nevermind.

Hmmm… running… isn’t that where you, umm, walk fast and stuff? I’ve walked before, once. I don’t get the point, when you can just eat Guthrie’s all day and sit around and lie in bed, in the A/C. That’s the stuff there. No heat, no humidity, no problem.
