You might remember back in April when we played ‘Playlist Lines‘ — that was fun, so we’re going to play it again. Here are The Rules for playing…

  1. Commenters should try to guess the title & artist of the song that the lines are from
  2. Cross them out when they’ve been correctly guessed
  3. NO CHEATING.
    1. Googling the lyrics is cheating.
    2. Googling a song name to get the correct artist is not cheating.
    3. Googling a song artist to find a list of songs isn’t cheating either.
    4. Googling a song and checking it’s lyrics to see if they match is cheap, but legal.
  4. Full credit or no credit — if you know the title, go find the artist you lazy bum.
  5. Feel free to play this on your own blog.

Alright, here we go…

  1. We can chase our shadows around the lawn until we’re both exhausted.
  2. You’s a superstar, boy, why you still up in tha hood?
    Roll Out; Ludacris (Manny)
  3. Play the best song in the world… or I’ll eat your souls.
    Tribute; Tenacious D (Rach)
  4. They went into an empty room and a bottle of whiskey stole
and put the bottle with the corpse to keep that whiskey cold.
  5. If at all God’s gaze upon falls, it’s with a mischevious grin
Seek Up; Dave Matthews Band (Charlsie via email)
  6. Too much pride, between you and I
not a jealous man but females lie
    Superman; Eminem (Manny)
  7. I’m not gonna lie, I’ll not be a gentleman.
Behind the boathouse I’ll show you my dark secret.
    Possum Kingdom; The Toadies (Robert)
  8. Cause your mouth made an offer that their bodies cannot veto:
No woman can resist a man who looks good in a speedo.
    Tangerine Speedo; Caviar (Kelly)
  9. Man, it takes a silly girl to lie about the dreams she has
But lord it takes a lonely one to wish that she had never dreamt at all.
Carve Your Heart Out Yourself; Dashboard Confessional (Carrie)
  10. Tomorrow’s just an excuse away, so I pull my collar up and face the cold on my own.
  11. Warm sun, feed me up and I’m leery; loaded up; loathing for a change.
    Swallowed; Bush (Nicole D.)
  12. I don’t know when I got bitter, love is surely better when it’s gone.
    You Wanted More; Tonic (Rach)
  13. There’s someone I used to see, but she don’t give a damn for me.
You Don’t Know how it Feels; Tom Petty (Kelly)
  14. Well he’s a friend of them long-haired, hippy-type, pinko fags;
I betcha he’s even got a commie flag tacked up on the wall inside a’ his garage.
Uneasy Rider; Charlie Daniels Band (M. Jones)
  15. And you held this letter, probably got excited, but there’s nothing else inside it.
    3×5; John Mayer (Amy)
  16. Beneath the dust and love and sweat that hang on everybody
there’s a dead man trying to get out
???; Counting Crows (Half Credit: Charlsie)
  17. The time to hesitate is through, no time to wallow in the mire
Light My Fire; Doors (m jones)
  18. Johnny doubled up with a royal flush, I had three Jacks and a pair of nines
Crazy Game of Poker; O.A.R. (Manny)
  19. Sometimes I’d like to hide away somewhere and lock the door
A single battle lost, but not the war
Bring on the Rain; Jo Dee Messina (Amy)
  20. My words are diamonds, dug out a mine; spit ‘em, polish, look how they shine
    The Whole World; Outkast (Carrie)

I think these were easier. We’ll see. Correct answers to the above are worth two points a piece. Cheating results in losing 200 points per incident. Whose Line Is It Anyway point policy applies (that is to say that they’re not worth anything). Reference the number in the comments — if you don’t, it doesn’t count, and I’ll beat you to death.

Good luck!
