Well, as usual there are a few songs that people are having a hard time with, so I figured I’d give y’all some hints. No googling the hints.

  • (#1) We can chase our shadows around the lawn until we’re both exhausted.
    • CD was released in 1996
    • Other songs on the disc included “Interstate” and “Suckerpunch”
    • I think this band was a bit of a one-hit wonder
  • (#4) They went into an empty room and a bottle of whiskey stole
and put the bottle with the corpse to keep that whiskey cold.
    • Canadian Band, tours all over the place. (Has played Tuscaloosa a few times)
    • The song is about a funeral celebration
  • (#10) Tomorrow’s just an excuse away, so I pull my collar up and face the cold on my own.
    • Band is from chicago
    • Last CD was released in 2000, CD with this song was a two-disc set released in ‘95
    • Song title contains a number
  • (#14) Well he’s a friend of them long-haired, hippy-type, pinko fags;
I betcha he’s even got a commie flag tacked up on the wall inside a’ his garage.
    • Song starts with the main character getting a flat tire
    • Stops in Jackson, Mississippi and has a run-in with some good ol’ boys
  • (#16) Beneath the dust and love and sweat that hang on everybody
there’s a dead man trying to get out
    • CD Released in 1993, song was never released as a single
    • Band has released three more studio albums since that one in ‘93
    • Band has a song on the sound-track of a popular movie sequel.

So… I’m betting that nobody gets the first or fourth of these. If you think you know, comment over here.
