Dick Cheney, Vice-president of the United States, gets a flu shot. No big deal, right? Well, it is if you’re a struggling democratic candidate for president. THEN it’s a political issue.

The Kerry campaign accused the Bush administration of “telling Americans to keep calm” while top officials like Cheney and Treasury Secretary John Snow get their flu shots.

“Once again the Bush administration proves that it is the ‘Do as we say, not as we do’ White House,” Kerry campaign spokesman Phil Singer said.

Surprisingly, Kerry’s spokesman made no mention that Bill Clinton received a flu shot for the same reason (heart patient) and Hillary got one because people are scared to tell her no.

Honestly, I haven’t seen anyone THIS desperate since the last CS Department Get-Together.

  1. CS Department Get-Together… they have those?

Let me know when the next one is…

  2. No, they don’t, I was joking. They do have ACM meetings, which are probably worse than my made-up CS Department Get-Togethers, but I didn’t want to have to explain it all. :)

  3. Oh… ok.

You got my hopes up… I was getting ready for all the CS hotties!

  4. Wait a minute… you mean there aren’t parties with all the sexy CS guys (and girls… not that I really care about whether or not the CS girls are sexy, although I’ve got some rather good male opinions that say that some of them really are) in your neck of the woods?

  5. There aren’t any sexy CS girls in my school. But you can find them in the Business School!

  6. OK, so why is Edwards not turning the criticism to Congress who had alloted 3000 flu shots for themselves?!?

Oh wait…cause he’d get one that way.
