I actually saw an ad on TV for this. They are kind of cute. Kind of like a mix between a pug-nosed pup and a llama.

there are a couple of alpacas who live down the street actually. they’re being raised on an apple orchard. not sure why. maybe the people saw the ad and said, “Hey, why not get an alpaca? Why not get TWO alpacas??”

I went to Peru in March, and there are pretty many alpacas down there! I now own an aplaca sweater and scarf….Oh yeah, and I ate one too.
It was yummy, and just like chicken! 
A native Peruvian woman and my uncle (who has lived in Peru about 30 years) about flipped out when they found out we ate them! 
Apparently that is not so cool down there, because they are only supposed to be used for their wool. Ooops.

Although that this post was apropos of nothing is also of concern — it’s most disappointing to me, Eric, that you posted about Alpacas and didn’t even bother to put up a picture.
