I didn’t do much this past weekend (surprise). I did, however, get a chance to see Shrek 2. Good movie. I’m not sure if I like it better than the first one, but it is good. Any true geek will appreciate the nods to other movies, events, etc… I was quite fond of the Lord of the Rings reference, though I’m quite sure I missed a ton of good ones. Guess I’ll have to see it again.

I also raided K’s DVD collection and watched Catch Me If You Can, a movie which my mother has been suggesting I see for quite a while now. She claims that she wouldn’t put it past me to pull off some of those things — personally I think that’s giving me too much credit. Anyway, that was a pretty decent movie, too.

That stuff aside, I just got a lot of work done. Various and sundry projects are coming along nicely which will hopefully bring Manny and I both fame AND fortune.

How was YOUR weekend?

  1. Shrek 2 was great. Most of the time, extremely hyped sequels like this end up sucking. But this one was really good. I think the original was slightly more funny, only because you were not expecting it to be so funny, so it kind of got you from nowhere.

  2. I still love the donkey tirade about Parfaits… classic.

  3. My weekend was absolutely, amazingly stupendous! Why do you ask? Because I graduated from law school!!! [Yes I am a bit hyper still.]

    Your turn is coming Pete!

  4. Not soon enough. Congrats!

  5. I saw Shrek 2…great flick and lots of great references…Princess Bride and Blazing Saddles are a couple

  6. I don’t think I caught the Princess Bride reference… where was that one at?

  7. Puss in Boots…sparing his life and so he goes on to stay with Shrek to repay the debt

  8. Although the Michael Jackson references with Pinnochio are among some of my favorites…

  9. Ahh… gotcha. I def. need to see that again.

  10. And there is nothing better than an animated character (Fairy God Mother) Showing a little leg.
