More Domestication

I wrote previously about the whole house-husband-esque feeling… and it came back today. Good lord, I didn’t do anything but around-the-house kinda stuff. Laundry (K’s) got folded. Laundry (mine) got washed, dried, and folded. Dishes were done and put away. A dimmer switch was installed. That’s a funny story, actually.

Well. Marginally funny.


Funnier than a stubbed toe, at least.


ANYWAY… ever since I’ve moved in the garbage disposal hasn’t worked. Never knew why. K had just said that it didn’t work. Fair enough, I guess. I’m used to living in college apartments that didn’t even HAVE garbage disposals… no loss here. Anyway, the other night I was sitting in the living room, which has a clear view of the dining room. K turned on the garbage disposal (for whatever reason… it doesn’t work) and the light in the dining room came on. I blinked, got up, and asked her if she knew it did that. She was surprised and a bit confused, but said that that was probably why the disposal didn’t work… not getting enough power, etc… so today I fixed it. It was an interesting piece of wiring work that was done, and I had to play with damn near every combination of six wires to figure out what went where… but now it works.

Maybe later I’ll post some more… but for now, I’m going to eat and maybe watch some TV.

Speaking of TV… is anyone watching Average Joe: Adam Returns? I’m certainly not. At all. Not even a little bit. Of course, I have, on occasion, found myself sitting on the couch in the living room simultaneously while it was on TV in the living room… but I’m not watching it. I swear. But for those of you who ARE watching in exactly the same way that I’m NOT watching it… are you surprised that Tracilee lasted as long as she did? Jesus she was a bitch. Do you have any guesses as to who the last two, the ones that get to meet his parents, will be? I certainly wouldn’t guess that it’ll be Rachel and Samantha, because I’m not watching the show. Remember? Good.
