The recent “scandal” regarding profanity laced articles appearing on John Kerry’s campaign website went from a non-issue to typical liberal politics last week when a Kerry spokesperson claimed that the slip-up was the result of a virus.
First some background — the “obscene” words (’fuck’ and ’shit’ I believe) were not actually written by anyone on Kerry’s staff, they were in articles written for other publications… Men’s Journal, Rolling Stone, etc… so the only liability the Kerry crew had on the issue was cleaning up someone else’s article… and my official position is “Who cares?”
Of course, then Kerry’s clan had to claim they had a virus. A virus! Apparently one that puts profane words on one’s website. The mind simply boggles at why a spokesperson would lie about something so trivial and stupid.
It really is absurd… consider an analogous situation: a car runs a stop sign, gets pulled over, and the passenger gets the ticket. He shows up for his court date and instead of saying “Your honor, I wasn’t driving!” He says “Your honor, I was possessed by demons.”
…of course… maybe the virus IS real… in fact, maybe it’s hit this very site! Oh, the horror!

I think I must have that same virus…
Gotta lower my expectations. Any statement by Kerry is newsworthy ONLY if he tells the truth for a change.
Come on, now… he tells the truth a LOT… think about it… if he’s held both sides of every issue in washington, he’s BOUND to have told the truth at some point.
First of all…happy Eat an Animal for PETA Day everybody. I was listening to Hannity on the way back from Mizzou this afternoon. A caller phoned in to attack Bush and after being pressed the caller revealed that even if Kerry IS lying about speaking with all these world leaders, they would still not even consider going away from voting for him. It’s one thing to believe in a cause, but it’s quite another to believe in it such that to them, any means is justified to accomplish the end result…that’s scary folks, seriously!
