This story, while completely unbelievable, has so little shock value on me that it is ridiculous. It seems that Democratic US Senate candidate M. Blair Hull has come under recent public pressure to release the records from his divorce from multimillionaire securities trader Brenda Sexon. The Chicago Sun Times reported yesterday on the contents of those records. Let’s go to the article and find out what an upstanding citizen Mr. Hull really is:

Blair Hull in Brenda Sexton’s words:

*Sept. 25, 1997: “Blair threw a remote control across the room and called me a ‘f—— c—.’ “

*Dec. 2, 1997: “Blair and I were calmly talking about trust issues, and I remarked everyone has a trust issue with him. Blair suddenly responded by saying, ‘You evil bitch. You are a f—— c—,’ repeatedly. He then hung on the canopy bar of my bed, leered at me and stated, ‘Do you want to die? I am going to kill you, you f—— bitch.’ “

*Jan. 12, 1998: “He went ballistic on me, started cursing, told me I was a ‘f—— c—’ and ’shark’ and kept threatening that he would punch me in the face.”

*Feb. 9, 1998: “He then held one of my legs and punched me extremely hard in the left shin. After that, he swung at my face with his fists a couple of times in a menacing manner just missing me.”

So a candidate with that level of character is obviously not going to continue running for UNITED STATES SENATE…right??? Surely Mr. Hull would graciously just bow out at this point….let’s see what he has to say:

Hull said he does not see any evidence his support among women will fade because of the disclosures.

“Obviously we will lose some female votes, but I don’t think they will be many,” he said.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? “we will lose some female votes, but I don’t think there will be that many”

Well, ok, I can accept that this guy has a lot invested in his campaign and is a little bit dilusional, so let’s see what the National Organization of Women has to say about it…I mean, there’s NO way they would stand for this type of thing.
Bonnie Grabenhofer, president of the Illinois chapter of the National Organization for Women, said the six-year-old allegations are troubling, but there are still reasons to support Hull.

“Domestic violence is never OK,” Grabenhofer said. “We don’t excuse instances of domestic violence.”

Yet Grabenhofer said voters need to balance those private allegations with Hull’s public commitment to women’s issues.

She noted that Hull is a supporter of “reproductive rights,” and that his daughter, Megan, was a plaintiff in a landmark Supreme Court case that ordered Brown University to reinstate funding for women’s athletic programs.

Interesting…so that’s the standard now. If you support reproductive rights, have a daughter who was a plaintiff in a Supreme Court case that affected women, and you happen to be a liberal democrat you can treat women as poorly as you’d like and still receive support from the NOW.

Any woman, or any human being for that matter should realize by now that the National Organization of Women are so out of touch with reality and what real people need to continue to give them credibility as a legitimate organization. The radical feminism that this organization embodies is nothing but pure hatred for conservatism.
