I realized that I’d have very little time or inclination to post while I was gone, so I grabbed a group of folks and gave them access to the posting page, much in the way that Michele has done time and time again. It went REALLY well, so I think next time I go away I’ll be giving more people rights… if you weren’t on the list this time, don’t worry, it probably wasn’t anything personal.

We all knew that Manny would be the first to post, and I guessed it was going to be short, due to the fact that he’s a lazy busy guy. Rach was next with a “Rachel Wuz Here” style post… for a while I was thinking that my site was going to end up looking like the wall of the men’s room in a truck stop… which would’ve been okay with me, so long as there were some “For a good time, call…” messages. Anyway…

I was reminded in reading the comments to Kim‘s Post how easy it is to spoil reality TV for west-coasters… or people who TiVo stuff. I guess I don’t have to watch that episode now, right? Who got kicked off?

Amy forever guaranteed herself guest posting rights with this. Flattery will get you &#091just about&#093 everywhere, folks. So does telling me where to go, as Tess did. Ok, so it was more like suggesting things to do, but whatever, right?

Friday I made a short appearance long enough to be surprised that the aforementioned had actually started posting… and Amy decided to post about an exploding whale. I’ll have you know, Amy, that I’m ALREADY getting google searches for this. Lots of them.

I was bemused but concerned, however, when I saw Tess’ post from Saturday about Toilet Paper. She’s now joined the group of people who post better things to my site than I do. Her an Nicole should have a little party. Oh, and she posted more sidewalk paintings… which are more of the same from the ones she sent before.

Ahh The Superbowl. Amy didn’t know who was playing… but I sure knew. I knew it wasn’t the Packers, so I really didn’t care much. I used to be a Patriots fan, but stopped being a huge supporter when Drew Bledsoe left… but when forced to pick, I’d cheer for the Pats not the Panthers. I didn’t get to see much of the game, but I did see The Kick. I missed, however, The Boob. The few commercials I saw didn’t impress me. Oh well.

On Sunday Manny went scary on us, talking about the sheets from the bed I slept in, etc… just. plain. scary. I’ll have him know, however, that he’s splitting the profit with me for my exploitation. One has to wonder if he’s going to sell the carpet from the floor of Irene’s apartment, where we all found ourselves crashing on Friday night. I doubt it.

Amy closed out her round of posts with one about commercials and a Welcome Home post. So Amy definitely wins the “Most Persistent Poster” award for the weekend.

I was also amazed how creative everyone was with their taglines and comment links… I seldom take advantage of those opportunites, but these folks were all over it. It was also good to see everyone found the “Blog Guests” category… which I had forgotten to mention.

Anyway… I had thought about lumping this in with my recounting of the events of the weekend, but decided to make it a whole post to show my appreciation. You’ll all be receiving $1,000 worth of my gratitude. (Void where prohibited, not redeemable for cash)
