You People Rock!

So imagine my surprise to get in from a long day of traveling and catching up to find my site updated and current… thanks to everyone’s who has posted already, and please continue to do so. My place is yours.

I spent lots of today in transit. I aslo ate LOTS. I ate in Birmingham. I ate in Memphis. I ate on the flight to LAX. I ate in LA… and then had this “boba” thing in LA… then ate in LA again… and I’m still freakin’ hungry. Anyway.

I’m sure I’ll have a more thorough accounting of things when I get back, but today was mainly getting here, getting settled, and getting to see people. Manny & Carrie were the obvious ones, Jean also came out. In addition, though, I got to finally meet Irene and Jill… both of whom are very cool people. Hell… Irene was even so sweet as to tell me that my hair doesn’t look as bad in person… just a DOLL isn’t she?

I also got a good 80 or 90 more pages of Atlas Shrugged read. Probably won’t read much more until the return trip, but it has a lot of interesting things to say about lots of things.

Tomorrow we see UCLA and… lord only knows what else… probably more food, though, if I had to venture a guess. For now, however, I’m freakin’ exhausted. Thanks for keeping the place decent in my absence.
