No, not really. But lots of folks would like for you to believe that he did. The fact of the matter is that he neither went AWOL, nor abandoned, nor enlisted int he Air National Guard to escape war. All of those are very common lies told by the left in an attempt to discredit W’s record.
Probably the definitive source for shooting these hair-brained theories down is Bill Hobbs. He’s taken a close look at the Bush AWOL claims and wrote up a series of detailed posts refuting AWOL Bush nonsense.
For anyone who gets really annoyed by leftists spouting half-truths, this is a must read.
