As he has through-out his term of office, Bush is being blamed for Clinton’s mistakes. Observe:
You can’t blame the president because a cow came down with BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy), but you can blame the Bush administration for a lot of what’s going to happen to beef farmers over the next couple of weeks. We didn’t adopt the procedures that Great Britain did after their terrible time, which ruined many cattle farmers.
Let me take a moment to remind everyone that Britain’s Mad Cow outbreak was in the mid-nineties, during the Clinton Administration. If there’s blame to be had, there’s a lot to go around.
