…and it’s not over yet. One. More. Day.
Friday:
Although I didn’t actually find this article until Sunday, it was published in the Crimson White on Friday and written by the sports editor of Allbarn’s Student Rag. What’s the article? Hey, Bama: The past is gone, so deal with it. Honestly, this deserves a thorough fisking, so that’ll come later but, for now, I’m just going to have to leave you with just one quote: “Now let’s talk about the topic of class. Simply, we have it, and you don’t.” — Read the article and let me know if you find ANYTHING classy in it.
More for friday: Alabama won its basketball home opener against Louisiana Tech (home to majors like Jambalaya Engineering and Outhouse Architecture) although not convincingly. The got up early, but Bama came back won. There were some sparkles of a decent team, but I don’t think we’ll be winning the SEC this year. Nevertheless, I had a good time at the game so I’ll just have to make it a point to go to more of them. Roll Tide.
Saturday:
Football! Woo! Great day of football, which I will recap here. TCU lost, thank goodness… no more BCS for the little frog that could. Michigan beat Overtime State and clinched the Big 10 title… which is, I guess, something to be proud of. Really they’re right where they want to be… going to a BCS bowl, but not having to face the Sooners. Oklahoma coasted past Texas Tech (woohoo!). LSU got lucky as one of the nation’s most consistent place kickers missed two easy field goals and squeaked by Ole Miss. Finally, the better team won the Iron Bowl, much to my dismay. It’s all good, though. I’d still rather be a Tide fan.
Sunday:
Out of 22 people on our Winter League team, 8 showed up. EIGHT. Many of the rest were at a different tournament in Huntsville, but regardless we had to play short-handed (since we only had one girl). Despite having only two subs and being outnumbered 7 to 6, we won both of our games. The first was especially good — we were down 6-1 at halftime but outscored the Red team 10-1 in the second half to win (final score of 11-7 for you business majors out there). I played all put one or two points, which has caused me to be sore and tired today… but in a good way. Luckily I’m actually in pretty decent shape now.
I also failed to get very much studying done over the weekend, which means I must now go do those things.
Fair warning: posting obnoxious pictures (or comments) in my comment box will, more than likely, result in the post being edited to suit my tastes. And, remember, I am the sole judge of what is obnoxious in my own comment box. You have been warned.

Did the Auburn and Bama school papers have a bet or something?
I\’d say for an Auburn fan, that was pretty classy.
For an Auburn fan.

Not a bet, as such. One of our writers wrote for The Plain-men and that\’s what they wrote for us. Regardless of the agreement, they should\’ve refused to publish it, though.
But I guess you have a point — class for a Barner.

Allow me to paraphrase:
Paragraph 1: Hey Bama, forget the past it is so OOOOVER.
Paragraph 3: And Remember Bama, we have two past Heisman Trophy winners, and you have none. Nananananaaaaa.
Who needs to forget what now?
