My Brother: Football Star
While I was out cavorting around Tuscaloosa last night I got an email from my mother informing that my brother had a great game last night as my old HS (Lexington) upset a good conference opponent (Gridley). Apparently he scored to receiving touchdowns AND picked one off late in the 4th quarter with the score tied at 21 and as Gridley was marching down the field. So, to recap, that’s two touchdowns and a momentum swinging interception. Us Holiday kids are just studs, aren’t we? You can check out the local newspaper article here.

So everyone here knows I have this weird domain name, Holidian.com. Only about half of the people I’ve met who have tried to say this can say it correctly (Ho-LID-ee-an). Many have inquired as to why I didn’t just take PeteHoliday.com and be done with it. Well, now I have. Right now there’s not a lot of stuff on it that you can’t get here, but I’m hoping to eventually add things like a resume, more bio info, etc… if you have suggestions as to what can go there, feel free to send them along.
That is all. Now get your ass on the couch and watch some football!

The one college game I wanted to watch wasn\’t broadcast in CA. It was NIU v. Alabama. We both know the outcome.
Yeah… NIU got another gift. People are actually going to start thinking that NIU is good. Pity.

The site is still on hiatus until I have more time to deal with it.
The MAC is good this year… for the MAC. That is to say that they STILL shouldn\’t be a BCS conference. Maryland was overrated; Bama played a horrible game — looking ahead to Arkansas I think — NIU is not as good as their record indicates.
Next year, however, if the MAC is this good, I think we ought to boot the Little East from the BCS and pull in the MAC — or maybe C-USA…
