Almost October? Bah!

First of all, I must point out that I missed my stats class on Friday. This would not USUALLY be a big deal, but it was the ONLY class I missed last week. Can you freakin’ believe that? Wanna know why I missed it? To study for a test! STUDY! I’m not sure who I am, or what I’ve done with myself, but I think I want my old self back. Maybe.

Friday night went out with K & Company, which was a good time — Dinner at this great little restaurant that was bobknowswhere, then to Galettes for some mysterious concoction called a “Yellow Hammer” that K had a hankerin’ for (Note: a “hankerin’” is something can only have in the south) — then we went to Catch 22 for more drinks. A good time was had by all.

Hell of a rain storm yesterday. Hell of a football game right afterward. It just didn’t end like I’d have liked. Oh well, next week is Georgia, and I’ll be at the game. Roll Tide.

I’ve been very interested to hear what all of the democratic presidential “candidates” have been saying on TV. Mainly nothing intelligent, but then, what do you expect? Although I love how they all seem to hang their hat on Iraq, talking about how horrible it is and how all of the Iraqis hate us. Of course, you all realize how silly that is. If you’re one of the few left that still thinks Iraq is a “quagmire” and that the entire country hates us… well.. I invite you to read this. Although, at this point if you’re still in that list, you’ve probably decided to be there regardless of the truth, so you might as well save your effort.

Finally, we all know that I’ve been in the market for a Digital SLR for a while, and it seems that waiting may have paid off. Canon recently released the EOS Digital Rebel and it appears to retail for less than $900 despite having all of the latest technology and being a 6.3 megapixel camera. Pretty darn sweet. So that’s what my camera savings are going to eventually go toward. Some day. Maybe.
