Auburn fans talk about class. They talk, laughingly enough, about tradition. Well, back in October of 2001 two Fraternities, Beta Theta Pi and Delta Sigma Phi, decided to have a classy, traditional little party… innocent enough, right? Right! Except they needed a theme. Instead of talking Strongbad’s advice, they chose one near and dear to their hearts: racism.
Members of the fraternities did things like dress up in KKK outfits, paint their faces black, and parade around with confederate flags. Some wore simulated FUBU attire and, of course, there were some skinny blonde girls in attendance. Now why am I just now starting to bring this up? Simple… a picture is worth a 1,000 words, and I just found 18,000 words.
How proud do you think THEIR parents were?

Oh. My. Gosh. I hadn\’t seen the pictures before. This is why it is so easy for me to hate auburn. And I do like this quote from the article:
“This is probably an indication of the character of the students allowed at Auburn. It is probably not the first action of this kind. It is very serious because they are not children and obviously believe they can do this in this university environment.”

You know, I can see how they might have been doing this just for fun and probably didn\’t mean any discrimination by it, BUT to do this at a frat party at a college was horrible. It\’s kinda like making a racist joke. People tell them because they can be funny and they tell them in private and to people they know it won\’t offend, but what Auburn did is the equivalent to someone tell a racist joke on national television. Of course someone is gonna get upset. I hated Auburn to begin with but no I realize they are so stupid they can\’t help it!

I\’m suprised it took you this long to find those pictures, I remember seeing these a while back.
All that was missing was Rebel flags and playing Dixie and it would have been hard to tell if it was Auburn or Ole Miss.

Well, I didn\’t look very hard for them back then… and did you miss the rebel flags on the first page of pix?
