More of the Same…

The weekend has been good in the sense that not much has gone on, really. I went to Amanda’s on friday night for drinks and cards with some of the locals. Out twice in one week is a pretty good average I’d like to keep up.

This week I hope to crosses fingers get the internet at the house and start going back to my service projects. I’ve also got to call home and the sister at some point. Gotta check to see how Kecia is adjusting to college life (I’m sure she’s stoked) and have to give the parental unit the 411 on my new address and phone number.

K’s ex-boyfriend finally found a new place to live and, as if he was never there, made a quick exit this morning. That’s a good thing for all involved. I cooked last night and managed to get them both in the same room for at least 25 minutes (that wasn’t the goal, it just happened) and he had a really difficult time keeping any sort of conversation. Oh well. That’s no longer an issue. He’s a nice enough guy, I guess, somethings just aren’t meant to work out.

I feel so disconnected, but keep the emails coming. Tuscaloosa folks: we need to start making plans! The next weekend is only four short days away!
