Softball:
It’s not really all that bloody, but I am sore. Yesterday was the intern softball tournament, and my team won! We actually played another game after the tournament was over, which was somewhat hard because everyone was so tired. In the actual tournament, though, I played second-base for 14 innings with no errors (upward of 20 put-outs) and was 6/8. The game after the tournament, I didn’t do quite so well. Had a few errors, and was only 1/4. All in all, though, it was a good time.
Circle K:
I’m sure by now you’ve all come to the shocking realization that I’m back in the saddle over at UnofficialCKI.org. For those of you who realized it was only a matter of time, you were right. With a new board in office (one that seems to be much more ethical and reasonable) I’m not expecting to get removed fully from CKI. I am, however, still expecting to receive a Cease & Desist from Kiwanis’ Lawyers. I’ve referenced a “project” over the past few weeks… and this is a small, small part of it. The rest is still playing itself out. Stay tuned.
Work & the Apartment:
Things are back to normal here. Some folks are permanently moved out of the building (some because their rooms were destroyed, some because the tornado scared them to death so they quit work and moved back to the south where I guess they think they don’t have to worry about it). I’m hoping to get to chat with the Corporate Law department this week about possibly doing next summer’s internship there, since I’ll be bound for law school by this time next year crosses fingers.
Speaking of Law School…
I’m starting to compile transcripts and letters of recommendation and other such things that will accompany my applications. Not a whole lot of new info to report now, and there probably won’t be much more until September, when I plan on taking a week-long trip to DC and California to visit the schools in my top seven.
Random Oddities
For those of you who, in recent days, have just been sitting around asking yourself “Geez… I wonder what kind of Asian Girl Pete is!” I now, courtesy of Beth, have your answer. I happen to be the same type of Asian Girl as Beth and Nicole, so I’m in good company.

You are the sort of whitewashed Asian girl. You’re
pretty neutral about things and appreciative of
your heritage, but no way in hell will you ever
join a club for it. And yes the
at Abercrombie ARE pretty hot!
What Kind of Asian Girl Stereotype Are You?

…don’t ask… I wouldn’t have an answer for you anyway.
