A few interesting notes:
Amy reported from ICON that our good friend Webmaster-Steve ran a forum on the new website. I’d love for her to post a detailed account here when she gets back but in the mean time, my understanding is that he got ripped up one side and down the other by questions about UCKI. Apparently he’s fond of lying, as well, claiming that the original founders of the site weren’t members; claiming that it takes two years to organize a site like CKI’s; claiming that CKI staff made him write that he had called the FBI on us… all sorts of stuff. The man is gutless.
My brother, who wore my I-Board polo yesterday, has gotten pictures with some CKI celebrities… we’ll have them here for your photoshopping pleasure when he gets back from ICON.
The new project is coming along swimmingly… a week or two now at most.
Hil is flying into town tomorrow for a visit to the flattest place on earth TM, so I’ll be sparse this weekend.
‘Bama didn’t win the scrapbook (Mad Props to UMich, who did) but we did take second place in Silver Club Achievement. That’s a sweet victory, as silver is a very difficult category to place in (due to the large number of clubs in it) and coming off of the year we HAD, that’s an amazing feat.
Someone REALLY REALLY SMART wrote up a summary of the new CKI site for posting at UCKI — you can go here and read it. I’d like to point out that UCKI still has cooler features than CKI, and we could’ve done much cooler things with the data Stevie-poo has access too. Entry level programming language… HA! His MOM is an entry level programming language.
