Some of you may be keeping up with my law school research and application process. If you are, then you’ll be interested to know that the law school page has changed quite a bit. I’ve removed all of the schools that have been eliminated due not having enough tech courses (among other reasons). They’re listed at the bottom for your (and my) reference. The remaining schools were divvied up into the three standard college application categories “Safety,” “Mid-range,” and “Reach” schools.
This is the confusing part, though, because my GPA/LSAT combination is very unusual — high LSAT; low GPA. That combination is fairly infrequent and it’s very difficult to judget which shools are which. Nevertheless, I picked a fairly conservative/pessimistic grouping, and I think I’ve picked a tentative list of schools to apply to. There were a few schools, like Illinois, that really surprised me by their lack of Tech Law courses.
From here, I think the process is going to be to apply, see where I get in, and then try to visit those schools before I make a decision. So the list is, at present: Georgetown, Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, George Washington, American, and Case Western. I might also apply to Duke, Harvard, Virginia, and/or Temple, but we’ll just have to see about those.
Interestingly enough, 3 of the schools are in DC, 3 are in California, and then there’s Case Western in Cleveland. The “maybes” would add a bit of variety: North Carolina, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
The thing I’m dreading is the $50 - $80 application fees. Anyone want to sponsor one of my applications? You can even sponsor one I haven’t decided to apply to! crosses fingers

Berkeley? Liberals? Are you ok!??! I guess BOLT is really worth it.
If we make a lot of money with the porn site, I\’ll sponsor your U of M application.
Good luck on your porn site, then!
Case Western… you know that\’s in Ohio, right?! You know who the IP Governor of Ohio would be at that time, right?! Unfortunately Case doesn\’t have a CKI… darn! Good luck Pete!
