Now it’s not terribly often that Bush does something that I’d say I’m “disappointed” with. Disagree? Sure… but disappointed? Not often. And even LESS often that he does something disappointing enough that I feel the need to post about it. What am I talking about?
Well, as most of you realize, Israel executed a strike on Hamas spokesperson Abdel Aziz Rantissi (AKA The Pediatrician of Death). The strike failed and Rantissi escaped with (what seems like) minor wounds.
One of the reasons I hesitate to post Israel/Palestine stuff here is that I’m historically ignorant and I’m not entirely sure I could hold up a debate with someone reasonable who knew their stuff (that is, without doing some research). Nevertheless, I thought it was interesting to note that I’m more than a little disappointed by the fact that
Bush scolded Israel for their strike.
You see, Hamas just a few short days ago withdrew from cease-fire talks… to me, that makes them fair game. Don’t want to talk peace? That’s fine, but it’s silly for us to expect Israel to be a target and wait for Palestinian extremists to have another run of suicide bombings to kill more innocent Israeli civilians and foreign visitors.
My personal feeling on it is that Palestine is, quite possibly, the most terrorist state in the world today, especially considering the fact that they make no effort to hide their actions. To me, this “Roadmap” business is bullshit.
The roadmap should be this: Palestinians will immediately cease terrorist acts against Israel, or they will face the full brunt of the American Military. Period. No talks, no debates, no discussions. Play nice, or get the hell off our planet. I’m sick to death of people feeling like it’s already to spew and spread their anti-semitic hatred but then get deeply offended if you come within three miles of asserting that any Muslim is violent or terror prone.
Wherever Bush put the balls that he used to go to war with Iraq, he needs to go find them and quit pandering to Arafat, Abbas, et al. You want a war on Terror? Palestine is a good place to start.
PS: it is imperative that you download run out and buy a copy of the acoustic version of “She Talks to Angels” by the Black Crowes. Imperative. Go now.

I dont know about the rest of it, but I\’ll go with the Crowes song, that\’s the only way I\’ll take that song, shame on society for not introducing Petey to it sooner…
Now now now… who said I hadn\’t been introduced sooner! I just happened to be enjoying it at the moment of that post and thought I\’d share!
