Thank you, dumbass

As we were waiting for President Witt’s hairbrained decision, we were watching CNN (of course!) and there was news about a high school in Georgia that held its first integrated prom LAST YEAR (yes, 2002) and the big news maker this year is that they’re going back to segregated proms this year (Story here). Well, the folks organizing the “black prom” decided to invite the white kids too, but the Junior Class voted to have a separate “white prom”. (FYI: The school doesn’t host prom, so they have a hands-off policy toward them)

Now, we all realize that this is a stupid enough thing to begin with but CNN managed to find some of the stupidest High Schoolers to represent the “white prom.” It reminded me of when the news interviews folks after a tornado… I’m not sure where those folks come from, but you know the type I’m talking about.

So CNN interviews one good-ol’-boy-lookin’ high school student who gave this response to whether a “whites only” prom was racist:

“No, I don’t think it’s racist… I mean… there are going to be black people catering it, so there’ll be black people there!”

That’s right, folks, it’s not racist because the workers are black. Wow. As if yankees needs ANY MORE HELP being convinced that the south is just a bunch of inbred, redneck morons. When do I graduate again?
