I realized today, but not for the first time, that I’m a bit of a nerd. Why? Well… I had this urge to be back on a good ol’ command like (like DOS or Linux) and then realized that there’s probably a Windows version of the Unix text editor Vi.
I also installed a version of Perl for WinXP and either Windows or Perl is smart enough to run the scripts from the command line just like they’re regular programs. This is very neat, except that I don’t know Perl. I am having to learn it for work, though, which is a plus… every good nerd should know Perl.
I also got the truck back today… that’s a very good thing. All’s well there, they even washed it (inside and out). How cool is that?
Kiwanis and Circle K are wasting more dues dollars to pay lawyers to write a Cease & Desist letter for Unofficial CKI — I’ll have more to say about that once the get the letter up on the site.
Pete I can\’t believe it took you this long to realize you\’re a nerd, I think the rest of us came to that conclusion long ago. Guess maybe we should have let you in on it!? You would still look damn good on a table though!
