So the FedEx man arrived today with our DSL modem. This was a good thing. We promptly shredded all of the packaging, tossed the installation CD and instructions in the middle of the room and ran off with the hardware to install it. After all, who needs the damn instructions anyway? Now, that’s the perfect lead in for a story of dismay and calamity, but there was none of that. The connecting of the computers to the blessed internet is complete, and I’m quite happy about that.
One might expect me to now present an update of everything that’s gone on in my life since my last contentual update. One might also jump, flaming, from a building. I hope one doesn’t do either of those things. Neither outcomes will be desirable, I can promise you that.
I have, of course, started work. This is a good thing, as with work comes pay, and that’s something I’m quite looking forward to. The work is interesting, though I’m not nearly as well versed in my tasks for this summer as I have been the past three. That’s ok, though, it’s coming together nicely, and I’m enjoying learning about a different type of technology.
In the land of the LSAT, I’ve been studying. That’s about it. I take the test in two weeks and if I were a normal person I’d be excited and/or nervous and/or anxious and/or scared to death. As it stands, I’m just feeling pretty decent about it and taking it as it comes. Ask me again on the 8th how I’m feeling and you might get a different response, however.
The social side of the internship has gone well, most of the other interns are cool folks, I’m getting a long with my roomie (and why not? I’m a pretty easy guy to get along with, right?) and meeting some new people. We’ll just leave it at that for now. There’s gotta be some sort of mystery, right?
Also, whilst playing in Chicago last week I managed to get rear-ended. Luckily I was hit by a very honest person, and the arrangements have already been made to have the truck fixed and put me in a rental car in the mean time. I swear to Bob this was not my fault.
The family is doing well, it was good to see them again… the sibs are still in school, though. Speaking of people it was good to see, Matt came up for a visit last weekend, which was cool. We talked law school and just generally schemed.
Finally, we have the heretofore omnipresent Circle K drama. Last I heard through the rumor mill (which is just a euphemism for “the IBoard leaked it to someone”) staff had instructed the KI Board not to respond to my letter because “Legal” was handling it (as if anyone in that office would know “legal” if it bit them in the ass). Now I’m not going to discuss this at length, because really the only thing that needs to be said is that some part of that rumor is complete bullshit.
Other than that, I’ve not heard a peep. Neither from KI or from Rupert who has now done a fantastic job of disregarding his Service Agreement. Of course, what do you expect… they have no answer to the question I asked, and I think they know better than to try to float some BS out. It’s much easier to just ignore me. Besides, we wouldn’t want to put a strain on the President… I’m sure he’s a busy man… after all, it’s no small task to delegate all of your work and still make it look like you’re actually doing something. (Whoops… did I say that out loud? Too bad they can’t kick me out again… wonder what they’ll do now?)
…probably just have Steve Werner send me an email telling me how many internet standards I’ve violated, that he’s calling the KGB, and that I’m going straight to hell (do not pass go, do not collect $200). Speaking of Stevie-poo, I was thinking… every night we ought to all go find some typo or error on the K-Family webpages and then call Steve at home to let him know about it. Seems to me like 3:00am would fit best into my schedule. The only problem is that I have no idea how to get ahold of him at home… hmmm… oh wait… let’s ASK GOOGLE. Wow. Google knows everything.

that is crazy.. no wonder you\’re such a good stalker.
Hey! I\’m not stalking, google is!
damn, Google rocks.
