Today I received an email from Tess expressing concern that her level of frustration had risen to the point that she was almost ready to tell the next person who called her office to go fuck themselves… but encouraged me NOT to call to try to be the lucky one. I wrote back to tell her that hearing such a thing wouldn’t bother me, and that I’d probably have a line to shoot right back at her. To this, she replied:
“Ah, you know, I could never really go so far as to say that. Unless I knew it was you, of course, because you like being heaped with that sort of abuse so that you can sling off one of your patented pithy one-liners.”
…and how true that is. I’m not sure when folks will realize that insults aren’t much but a motivator for me. In other news, aforementioned Tess posted a link to Giant Genius who has presented a three part series ( one two three ) on how to improve your profile for online dating. It’s a riot, go read it… a few notable quotes:
