All the little protesters should be sent to Iraq to talk to the people there. It seems like DAILY former human shields are coming back and saying things equivalent to “Well, I’ll be damned, the Iraqi’s WERE being mistreated by Saddam!”
Right… because you actually believed that 100% of the country voted in the last election, and all of them voted for that vile piece of garbage? Of their own free will? Morons.
We on the bus felt that we were sympathetic to the views of the Iraqi civilians, even though we didn’t actually know any. The group was less interested in standing up for their rights than protesting against the US and UK governments.
I was shocked when I first met a pro-war Iraqi in Baghdad - a taxi driver taking me back to my hotel late at night. I explained that I was American and said, as we shields always did, “Bush bad, war bad, Iraq good”. He looked at me with an expression of incredulity.]
Of course, the powers of denial from the left are far too strong to actually believe these first hand accounts. They probably believe that these were just government pawns sent in to make news. What a bunch of morons.
It’s such a warm, fuzzy feeling to be on not only the correct, but morally right side of the argument… but don’t mind me, keep protesting. What’s also funny is that I’ve not received a single rebuttal (on this site, via email, via IM, anything) about any of the points made here. Of course I haven’t. Want to know why? Because the war is right and just, regardless of how much it inherently sucks.
Goodnight.
