In Kiwanis’ never-ending struggle to eliminate it’s entire family membership, it has taken the next step in it’s master plan to go bankrupt ASAP: threatening to sue, or remove from CKI, some of its most active and devoted Circle K Members. This benefits the cause in a few ways. First, if they remove them from CKI there’s much less chance of them joining Kiwanis. Second, time and energy of legal action (and researching it) costs money… money that Kiwanis doesn’t have. Finally, what better way to encourage people not to help than to sue everyone who tries!
In light of this threat of legal action, we’ve received our first pledge towards our Legal Defense Fund. Manny, Amy, and I would like to thank this person (who will, for the time being, remain anonymous). If you’d like to make a similar pledge, feel free to use the feedback form. Here’s the email:
I don’t make much money since I am still in school, and my affiliation with the K-Family is limited as best now of days, but my loyalty and allegiance to the principles it upholds is still existent.
That being said, I will gladly be one of the first to pledge my financial assistance if there be any legal action necessary on your part to continue your attempts to better the organization through your website.
Find a new server and get it reinstated. Break up the site so much that it can’t be shut down and scatter it across the internet. We all know how bad the International Board generally sucks and doesn’t know what the hell they are doing…hell the few of us who could get the job done either don’t get elected or get run out of office.
Godspeed to you.

Yay!! Pissing contest, alright!! I know Pete is going to win this one, he can piss better than the best of them. But hey, it seems Indy is a weird place where people go to become stupid. NCAA, CKI, coincidence, I think not!!

See… everyone knows about this. They spent six long months working with me rather closely, you\’d think they of all people realize that this is not the right way to motivate me. Maybe you should call both of those groups in Indy and talk some sense in to them, Daniel.

Just for the record, SOME International Board members care more about the members than you may think. I personally devote hours working for what I think the membership wants and needs, and when I go to Indy for a board meeting, I try to think about everyone, and not just want I want to see happen. If you want to know what I have been doing, feel free to ask me! I am not the only I-Board member that thinks and acts that same way. Actually, most of us feel that way, and act in the manner that we think is most beneficial to you. It is the few that don\’t, or the few that suck who give the rest of us a bad name! I am working like crazy to do some good in this wonderful organization, at the cost to other priorities that maybe I should give more attention too. Why do I do it? Because I care and I want to help. I am not power hungry, I do not want to make changes just to piss someone off. Further, I have realized this year, that some decisions made by the Board do not make sense to general members. However, when you are in the position of an I-Board member, you may see some things you never saw before.
Finally, if you have a problem with something, please feel free to contact me, my information is on the websites. Also…if you do not have faith in the International Board, or feel they all suck, why did you vote for us?

Amanda raises a very important point here. The Board on the whole, has been extremely supportive (each in their own way), it\’s the staff that we\’re having issues with. Do cut the board some slack here…
