First off… I wanted to use my artistic “talent” to wish you all a Happy Hump Day!
Nicole has introduced me to a comedian who just happens to be pretty damn funny. Dane Cook is the guys name. Go find him. Listen to him. Laugh.
More hilarity from Nicole… this site has a list of the 100 most annoying things of 2002. I’d like to draw your attention to a few of them:
81 (though I would’ve ranked him much higher) Al Gore: Spends the year criticizing Bush’s every move, only to announce he’s not running for President next time. Of course with all the royalties he gets for inventing the internet, why should he waste his time?
55 (once again, much higher on my list) PETA: Can these guys stop protesting animal abuse long enough to realize that meat tastes good?
39 (Yep, you guessed it, higher) Jesus Hates SUVS Campaign: Some Christian environmentalists led a campaign against these big gas guzzlers, claiming Jesus wouldn’t drive one because they are harmful to the atmosphere. Well what the hell else was he going to fit 12 disciples in on a road trip?
31 Augusta Golf Protesters With sex slaves in Africa, forced abortions in China, and brutal treatment of wives in Afghanistan, you’d think the National Organization of Women would have bigger fish to fry than trying to get women admitted here.
19 McDonald’s Law Suits
10 Steve, The “DUDE, YOU’RE GETTING A DELL” Guy
There are more… they may be more or less funny to you. Try to guess what/who number 1 is!
Y’all is this weekend. I’ll hopefully have pictures when I return. Circle K has it’s first Wednesday Night Meeting of the semester tonight. Tess reads smut books, but not in public. I dropped my math class, the prof sucks. I’ve still not met with my prof about my research project. I think his wife had a baby. How inconsiderate.
Hmm… That’s it for now. You may not hear from me again before Monday. I hope you’ll survive.

Okay. #39 is much higher on my list. The name of the group protesting SUVs calls themselves \”The Detroit Project\” which is the same name as a kickass service group we have here on campus that spends the whole year doing service in Detroit, and one huge day of service with hundreds of volunteers. The group requires lots and lots of funding (donations) to make everything happen, and their good reputation is being hurt by these SUV-hating pricks. But go visit the (real) Detroit Project website. http://www.thedp.org
*gasp* I\’ve been outted!
Perhaps I should send my smut books to you once I\’ve finished them!
Your books? To me? *looks around nervously* Why… what would I do with them?
After all… I can\’t read. I\’m from Alabama.
Oh yeah! I forgot!
Ok then, put them under your wheel wells in place of cinder blocks. After all, you *are* in Alabama!
