Well… it’s officially 2003, and I had a blast at a party thrown by Val and Cynthia, friends of Candice (Well, I know them too…). The details of the party are pretty foggy, but what I remember of it was a good time. That’s usually the mark of a good college party. By 1:00am I had no concept of how much I’d had to drink, so it’s a great thing that I don’t get hang-overs… because I certainly would’ve had one today.
So, let it be known that next time Candice throws a party, I want a designated-rememberer. Someone who can, the next day, be like “Hey, man… do you remember __________.” and I can say “No way! that happened!?” It’ll be great.
The bowl games basically sucked today. Some of my teams won, some lost, but I don’t think there was a decent game on TV that I saw.
There was a show about the 80’s on tonight, and as I was passing through the livingroom they were talking about Vanna White, of which some guy said “I think some sort of male ideal was tapped into: she’s beautiful, doesn’t speak, does what you tell her to, and she knows how to spell.“
So what will 2003 bring? Who knows, but I guess we’re going to find out whether we like it or not. If it’s anything like a good party, by this time next year it’ll be a little fuzzy and we’ll need someone to remember it for us.
