Things are going swimmingly here in Alabama (pun definitely intended). It seems that Tropical Storm Isidore has been causing some trouble down along the gulf coast, and we’re definitely feeling the side-effects. It’s been raining for a few days now and it’s only going to get worse. Looking at the forecast, it seems that the eye could actually come through Birmingham/Tuscaloosa (which is 200 miles inland, by the way) which would mean lots of rain. Well, lots MORE rain. Damn tropical storms.
Today I escaped the ticket ninjas. The Ticket Ninjas are a secret order of parking services employees who hide in trees, bushes, and any other place possible so as to be able to ticket illegally parked vehicles as quickly as possible. They’re very effective. For the most part, you’ll get a ticket within 15 minutes of parking somewhere you shouldn’t. Today I stayed parked without a decal for something like 4 hours with no ticket. Very, very strange.
I’ve also gotta ask… what in the HELL is up with the McDonald’s lawsuits. It’s odd… just when I thought people couldn’t get one bit less intelligent, they go and prove me wrong. Let’s think about this… it’s FAST FOOD. Yes, it’s going to make you fat if you eat it every day. Most people with an IQ greater than 3 are keenly aware of that fact and either a) don’t care, b) take action to compensate, or c) feel bad, but eat there all the time anyway. Most of us have never even considered “Hey! This stuff’s making me fat! I should sue!!” Maybe if your ass was on the treadmill while you were on the phone with your lawyers, you wouldn’t have this problem.
Stupid people should not breed… in fact, they should be shot. Every year from February to December should be Stupid Person Season. You get a tax deduction if you bag your limit. If you don’t participate, maybe you should be shot too. But this once again brings to light one of my favorite quotes: “Some people are alive simply because it’s against the law to kill them.”

Wow.
Yah, we have those ninjas too at my school. Isn\’t Isidore the character in LOTR that kept the ring when he kill the evil dood? Word!
About the LOTR reference, I\’ve been thinking about that. But the guys name was actually Isieldor (spelling questionable) but it has an l and a long e sound in the middle.
I will be sure to send them after your car tomorrow so you don\’t feel so overlooked.
*Curious* Okay, so this has nothing to do with rain or ticket ninjas *shudder*, but whatever happened with Webthology? It appears that the last entry was at the end of July…
