I know what happened a year ago today. You do too. I’m not going to rehash, or refresh the memories that need no refreshing. I’m not going to take this opportunity to pimp the war, or bad mouth the president. All I want to do is point out that, while so many things have changed, a great many things are back to “normal.” This could be good or bad depending on what those things are… but I certainly hope our complacency is gone. I’m also happy that I woke up to a much more pleasant and much less shocking world than I did one year ago today.

I gave blood today, and quickly. I always do. I fill up that bag like fillin’ up bags is goin’ out of style. Then, just as quickly, I almost black out. That’s ok, though… blacking out ain’t all bad. They also take your heart rate at the beginning… apparently mine was 62bpm. From what I can tell, that’s relatively healthy and, while it struck me as being pretty low, I don’t think it is. They also take blood pressure, and while I don’t remember what it was, the guy said that it was good. So apparently I’m not anywhere close to having my heart explode. Yay!

Yeah… so that’s my story for the day. Go give blood. Someone somewhere needs it… like me, right now I seem to be about a pint low. Weird, huh?
