I’m sure it’s no surprise to most people, but here in the U.S. if you want to become a citizen, you have to pass a test. (Unless, of course, you were born here, in which case the only test was in convincing your mother not to abort you). Well… it seems that Zuchris found a link to an MSN/Encarta 11 question quiz that contains actual questions used on the citizenship quiz. Here’s the quiz.

Now, I realize that most of us learned this stuff “back in the day” and we’ve long since forgotten it, but how many US Citizens would be able to pass the test?

Well, I can confidently say that there is at least one. I missed only one question, and I’ll leave it as an exercise for the user to determine which. ;)

PS: I found Zuchris through a post over at kd’s… and she seems to have lost her mind.

I\’ve lost my mind too then, Pete. I salute you, Sir, for creating that MT-compatible trackback thingy. Anyone that can write code has my respect. And trackback-related code? That\’s just gravy.

I got 8/11, do I get in? ;) I have to confess I\’m a good guesser, I only actually knew the answer to about 3 of them :o

Shel… I made educated guesses on two or three… you get to be an American in my blog any day. (Provided, of course, that you want to)

I passed, but I did struggle with the date of the Constitution for a minute.
