I didn’t watch this Nickelodeon special on Gay parents, but I can certainly understand both sides. I personally didn’t have a problem with it until Rosie O’Donnell stuck her fat hypocritical mug on it. Gawd I hate that woman. I’d like to beat her with a stick. Honestly, I think it’s something that needs to be put out there, there is a lot of hate that kids are being raised with, but I’m not sure if Nick is the appropriate venue.
GO USA! I’m not a huge soccer fan or watcher, but you’ve gotta love it when ‘Merica is doing well. I’d like to point out a part of the article that quotes (what I presume is) a Mexican Citizen. ” ‘It hurts us here,’ Jose Luis Luviano, a fan in Mexico City, said as he punched his chest. Tears melted the Mexican flags painted on his cheeks. ‘There has to be an end to this disgrace where (Americans) treat us like rats and idiots.’ “ Rats and Idiots? With quotes like this, the latter makes sense. WTF? Ok, so we changed “Adios Amigos!” I’m not sure how this (or the Soccer game) relates to rats OR idiots… but maybe I’m missing something.
This open letter to Bill Gates really succintly sums up some of my feelings on the issue of digital media. Honestly, I think companies should be able to protect their Intellectual Property from piracy, but not at the cost of fair use. If I buy a CD, you better believe I want to be able to copy it 18 times as long as they’re all mine and not used at the same time. Go read it.
The Wasthington Times is running a pair of stories, one on a ship full of al Qaeda and one on The San Fran dog mauling case. Both worth a read, but I’m not going to comment.
Today was a slow day. Not much going on. I’m hoping to skin this site this week(end). I’m going to make a pair of shoes or a handbag out of it. (lame joke courtesy of Manny) No, actually I’ve been inspired by KD’s skins, and the fact that there’s no possible way that my site looks like a site I should be visiting from work. Oh, and I’ve had design ideas, but I don’t want to get rid of this one because I still quite like it. I think I’m about due for a few new additions to my Blogroll and an edition of Shorts. Stay tuned.
