Yesterday at around 5:00 [abby|a friend] and I decided to take a little trip over to Athens, Georgia for a friend of a friend’s graduation party. We managed to get there in 3.5 hours with the help of [Cathy]’s radar detector. I’m not going to elaborate for those of you who don’t know how long it should take, but suffice it to say that I was going slightly faster than the posted speed limit.
We had a great time. It was excellent to get a chance to put faces with names, pictures with places, and just generally hang out with a new group of people. The hospitality of the Georgia Folks (especially Matthew and Brian) was outstanding and a good time was had by all, and we left bright and early this morning (8:00am Georgia Time) after getting a tour of the campus. We left that early so that I could still make good on an agreement to attend a Phi Mu party with aforementioned Cathy.
Speaking of Phi Mu… I’ve been helping Cathy design the chapter’s website, and I think we’re to the point that we’re happy with the design. I’m especially happy with THIS proclaimation… if only the whole house felt that way.
As for the site, Cathy told me what to do, and I did it. She’s going to be providing the content, I did the design, and we’re going to work on the back-end database hooha.
Speaking of database hooha, I’m having the opportunity to put together a database-less commenting system for Tess. We’ve been corresponding lately and she’s super-cool… so I’m enjoying coding the comments for her site. As an added bonus, she’s decided to send a goodie box of various yummy-stuffs for Mac and I. It should also be noted that she’s been added to my Daily Reads.
Speaking of things I [don’t] read daily… my referrer logs have alerted me to the fact that I have link-love over at Freshly Shaved Text. Cool.
As of now, I haven’t eaten since I had <number forgotten> pieces of pizza last night at the party… so I’m going to eat now.

Wait a minute, you never told me you had \”strange powers\” women couldn\’t resist! So, you\’ll have to tell me about them, if there are words to explain them
*ahem* I\’ll tell you about his strange powers, since I\’m the one that first observed them… There most certainly aren\’t words to describe them though… Ooh… Yeah, that\’s a problem. Sorry, Ara, I can\’t tell you about his strange powers because I lack the ability to describe them. But I seriously doubt they would be very effective on you, if he were to demonstrate, since you\’re family and all… But just satisfy yourself knowing that they DO exist, and well… Strange powers do strange things to folks
I love how you like to claim to be the first one to observe them. That\’s a bunch of rubbish. You\’re the first to name them, yes… but observe? Not by a long shot.
*giggle*
that site is so you.. it\’s sick.
but 3.5 instead of 5.. it\’s impressive.. and scary. yikes.. be careful okay?
ps. strange powers my ass.
That little proclaimation made me a bit nauseated… and your ego is big enough!
I figured his \”strange powers\” wouldn\’t be explained. I\’m sure I don\’t want him demonstrating anything on me because I\’m family and all…who knows what he might think of…:P
